Christa Sobier is a Certified Cicerone® and Certified Cider Professional from Brooklyn, NY and is the proprietor of Beer Witch. She regularly participates as a member of several beer industry-specific groups in New York City and was a former homebrewer.

Christa came to a career in beer via a slightly different path. When Brooklyn was experiencing a boom in brewery openings, she made the decision to move from the sidelines as a beer enthusiast into a more formal role of the beer industry. Christa brings a highly unique experience and skill set to the beer world. Realizing that her background may be an unusual fit towards a full-time industry career, she’s taken what others may have seen as potential hurdles and turned them into positive assets that set her apart. Coming from a corporate career and managing a disability have given her specific insight into an under-served aspect of the craft beer experience. After looking into a variety of options, along with a lot of side hustle work, the solution was to create Beer Witch - a craft beer bar and bottle shop where education, accessibility, and inclusion are a priority.
